LIFTING EYE BOLTS "MWLEB580" CYLINDRIC GAS THREADS.

GAS threading was created in the United States and is mainly used in hydraulics and for the transport of gasses, hence its name.

Similarly to the Whitworth threading from which it derives, there is a 55° angle between two crests, although in this type of threading the specified fraction does not represent standard inch-based fraction but is instead based on the size of the diameter which is needed to thread the tube so that a specific amount of space is left which allows fluid to flow.

MATERIAL

In accordance with standards DIN 580:2018 and DIN 582:2018, the carbon steel used for the construction of lifting eye bolts and lifting eye nuts is aluminium killed steel C15E (EN 10084/98).

A2 (AISI 304) or A4 (AISI 304)  stainless steel is also used for the construction of lifting eye bolts and lifting eye nuts.  Other materials can be employed for special applications.

SURFACE FINISHES

Non-machined lifting eye bolts and lifting eye nuts are usually supplied as semi-finished forged pieces (sand-blasted).

White zinc-plated lifting eye bolts and lifting eye nuts (minimum 8 microns) and hot-dip galvanised lifting eye bolts and lifting eye nuts (minimum 78 microns) are also ready for immediate delivery.
Other surface treatments are available on request (yellow zinc-plating, dacromet, Delta Protekt, Delta Tone, Delta Seal, painting etc.).

These eye bolts with special threading are not included in standard DIN 580:2018 and cannot therefore be marketed as DIN 580:2018.

For this reason we have created a table named MWLEB580 (Mec Wolf Lifting Eye Bolts) by adopting the sizes of standard DIN 580 eye bolts’ unfinished bodies after machining with special threading.

For these products we guarantee the same mandatory requirements provided for by standard DIN 580:2018 and by the Machinery Directive 2006/42/CE; these products must therefore be considered to be perfectly compatible with standard DIN 580 and compliant with the Machinery Directive EN/2006/42.
